Many people have asked what inspired me to start First Night Home, so this is my story.

For 20 years, I had the privilege of serving as a judicial assistant to a federal judge in Savannah. Throughout my career, I developed a deep appreciation for organization, attention to detail, and creating calm in the midst of busy, often stressful situations.

Over the years, I've moved more times than I can count and have always been the person family and friends called when they needed help getting settled. No matter how late the day, I couldn't relax until everything was unpacked and in its place. Then one day, my daughter said, "Mom, this is what you're good at. You should turn it into a business." That simple conversation became the beginning of First Night Home.

Today, I'm excited to help others experience a smoother, less stressful move. My goal is simple: to take the stress out of move-in day so you can spend your first night enjoying your new home instead of staring at a mountain of boxes.

That's exactly why I named my business First Night Home. Everyone deserves to spend their first night making memories—not unpacking boxes.
